The rules for sockets outside expect that you offer a 100% watertight solution. In practice, it is sufficient to provide a watertight socket and to plug in the plug of the Toadi charging station. The Toadi plug is also watertight (IP44), in combination with a watertight socket you have a comprehensive solution.

For Belgium, we have checked this with the Vincotte inspection agency and they have confirmed to us that it is a safe and regulatory solution.

For other countries, always consult the regulations of your country.

If the proposed solution is not satisfactory you can use the following 2 alternatives.

  1. Have a watertight junction box installed and install the charging station directly on it

  1. Use a socket from inside your house, with a cable through the wall
